The Post Apocalyptic Master Sword (Legend of Zelda)

This sword has one of my best descriptions yet so I’m just going to let you read it again.

I’ve always been a fan of The Legend of Zelda and I have wanted to do a Master Sword build for a while, but I needed something different, something special, to really make it worth the effort. While looking for references for another build I stumbled across the title art for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and there it was, the solution to that ‘what else’ staring me right in the face: the decaying master sword prominently posed striking through that titular ‘Z.’ And so the idea, which should have been blatantly obvious to me all along given my obsession with the post apocalyptic art style, was born. What if I forge the master sword from the end of the world? How do I create something that looks as if it might have come out of the nuclear wastelands of Fallout, yet still pay proper homage to a piece so legendary, so ingrained in pop culture, so recognizable as the Master Sword? What materials do I use? Which parts need to be substantially altered? Which parts must stay true to the original form? How do I create something that is a perfect merging of these two drastically different worlds? These are all questions that I asked myself repeatedly throughout the process, that I mulled over for days and pondered before bed at night. I hope you enjoy my answer.
